How to Update a Handheld's Certificate - Vista or Windows 7

Solution

Step 1: Left click on link to download the certificate

Step 2: Left click "Ok" or "Save" and save the file to your "desktop"



Step 3: Go to your "Desktop" and find the WTS_Cert that you downloaded in Step 2 right click the "WTS_Cert" and left click "Extract All"



Step 4: Left click "Extract" to unzip the zipped file. Make sure that the checkbox "Show extracted files when complete" is checked



Step 5: Right click "WTS_Cert.cer," left click "Copy" to copy the file



Step 6: Make sure your handheld is connected to the computer and Windows Mobile Device Center is open. (If you have Windows XP, please download and follow the XP version of Certificate Update)



Step 7: Left click "File Management" and then left click "Browse the contents of your device".



Step 8: Double click the hard drive looking icon



Or



Step 9: Double click the "My Documents" folder



Step 10: Right click and click "Paste" the file into the mobile device.



Step 11: On the handheld touch "Start", then "File Explorer"



Step 12: Make sure you are in the "My Documents" folder and touch "WTS_Cert".



Step 13: Click "Yes" to install the new certificate
